I grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, surrounded by old bridges, steep hills, narrow streets, and neighborhoods that always seemed like they might be hiding something. That atmosphere never really left me, and Pittsburgh continues to find its way into much of what I write.

Today I live in North Carolina and write supernatural fiction, horror, dark fantasy, and stories that don't always fit neatly into one category. My work often mixes eerie or unsettling situations with humor, emotion, queer characters, found family, and ordinary people discovering that the world around them may not be quite as ordinary as they thought.

I'm the author of the Echoes of the Night collection, including Shadows of Pittsburgh, Curse of the Iron City, From Bones to Bridges, Derek, and Pawprints Through the Fog. I've also written standalone stories, including A Yinzer Christmas in the Dark.

When I'm not writing, I run I FUCKING HATE SUMMER, a Facebook community I founded in 2011 that has grown to more than 70,000 members. What started as a place to complain about heat, humidity, mosquitoes, and everything else miserable about summer has grown into a creative community with contests, merchandise, member creators, and publishing projects.

I'm also a lifelong fan of horror, mythology, strange corners of the internet, Star Trek, and entirely too much coffee.

I tend to write about the things hiding beneath familiar places, the people we choose to call family, and what happens when ordinary life brushes up against something impossible.

After all, every city has its ghosts. You just have to know where to look.
